Your PRE-registration (even as an auditor or as a community participant, no money involved) is an act of activism in itself.

>>>>> The FEC recommends that you download an official registration form, fill it out to the best of your ability, and fax it to the President's office, with cc fax to the FEC, as soon as possible. See instructions below.

These individual pre-registration forms will be concrete demonstrations of the interest in this course-that the administration cannot ignore.

PLEASE THEREFORE EXPRESS YOUR INTEREST AND SUPPORT BY PRE-REGISTERING NOW FOR THE FIRST-YEAR OR SECOND-YEAR ACTIVISM COURSE!

--- INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRE-REGISTRATION ---

Later, once the activism courses are approved for the fall 2007 term, you can register more officially as a regular (degree) student or as a special (non-degree) student, for full credit or as an auditor, or you can simply participate for free as a non-registered community member. Either way, please partake in the pre-register campaign now.

If you do not want to pre-register but are interested in being on the fall 2007 course e-mail list to be kept up to date, then send us a message to this effect: ottawafec@gmail.com.

Step by step instructions:

(((1))) Download a registration form.

Either the registration form for regular (degree) students:
http://www.uottawa.ca/academic/info/regist/Regi3144.pdf

Or the registration form for special (non-degree-program) students:
http://www.uottawa.ca/academic/info/index/Regi3140.pdf
(Page-2 is the actual form.)

(((2))) Fill out the registration form clearly and to the best of your knowledge.

In the course code box chose either SCI1501 (first year) or SCI2501 (second-year, if you have already taken SCI1101). These are French courses but many of the keynote speakers will speak in English and translation is provided. Workgroup and individual student participation is in the language of your choice.

Add the letters "AUD" in the space provided if you plan to be an auditor. Registration fees for auditors are 15% of the regular fees. We recommend that you put "COM" in this box if you plan to participate for free, as a community member.

(((3))) Fax one copy of your completed registration form to the President's Office:
FAX = 613-562-5103.

The President has a responsibility to acknowledge your fax and to send your registration request to the registrar's office.

(((4))) Fax another copy of your (same) registration for to the FEC (to us):
FAX = 613-565-8881.

This will allow us to follow and support your efforts and to use your action in our campaign to get the activism courses approved for September.

(((5))) We (the FEC) encourage you to follow up your action with the President. He should acknowledge your registration attempt and help you in your desire to take this course in the fall...

The president can be reached as follows (and must respond to your queries):
